Reduce Anxiety

Anxiety or worry is one of the most common forms of unhappiness and tension. People are anxious about the future, what happened in the past, or what other people think about them. The basic causes of anxiety are fear, not being in the moment, and focusing on things that you can't control.

But how do you eliminate anxiety? You can't stop thinking about the future. If you did that you couldn't plan for the future. You eliminate anxiety by focusing on the things that you can control, and by being in the moment instead of living in the past or the future.

If you practice mindbody relaxation every day for a month, you will feel less anxious and be more in control of your life.

The Medical Evidence

Mindbody relaxation can reduce anxiety and panic attacks. A study at the University of Massachusetts took twenty-two patients who suffered from generalized anxiety or panic disorder and taught them how to meditate. After six weeks, twenty of the twenty-two participants said they felt significantly more relaxed. The benefits were long lasting. Three months later, those patients who continued to meditate continued to feel more relaxed and happy.(1)
